Support caregivers in their daily routines and spend meaningful time with the children—playing, learning, and sharing everyday activities together.
Gain firsthand insights into the work of local organisations and support the team with various tasks and activities.
Get involved with sports, games, music, crafts, or other recreational activities, and work alongside the team to create fun experiences for the children.
Depending on the host organization and their current needs, you can assist with organizational and practical tasks, helping to support their daily operations on the ground.

In the Kinder & Soziales (Children & Social Work) programme, you will support local organisations in and around Cape Coast in their daily work with children and youth.
Depending on your placement, you will assist the team with recreational and educational activities, creative projects, games, or sports. You are welcome to bring in your own ideas—always in coordination with the local team and tailored to the children's age and needs. This is not about replacing professional staff. You are there to support the people and organisations who are working on the ground for the long term.
An open mind, patience, a sense of responsibility, and a genuine interest in people are much more important than any specific background.
Your typical day
During the week, you will generally be at your project from Monday to Friday.
Most projects run roughly from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The actual hours will depend on the specific project. Your day may include a mix of hands-on support, homework help, creative activities, playing games together, and other tasks.
As a rule, your weekends are completely free.
