What awaits you
Get stuck in and create something visible together. In our Construction & Renovation programme, you will support hands-on projects in Cape Coast and the surrounding area. The focus is on renovation work, repairs, and minor improvements to existing schools, social institutions, or community projects. Depending on the current project, you can help with painting, patching, renovating, or simple manual tasks. You will work alongside local leaders and craftspeople. The goal is not to replace skilled workers, but to provide extra help where it is needed most. No prior hands-on experience is necessary.
Your typical day
After an initial orientation, you will work alongside the local team on current tasks. Most projects start around 8:00 AM and wrap up by 3:00 PM. For outdoor physical work, these times may be adjusted depending on the weather and temperatures. Your specific tasks will depend on the project's current needs as well as your own skills and abilities. Weekends are always yours to enjoy.
